Big Top World
Inherit the Earth
I Cherish You

Big Top World
(P. Bamburak)
Life is the big show
When you're seeing things you wish you never saw
But you still can't look away
Like a drive by a car crash
Smells of romance and gasoline
People die every day

It's up to me
To drive the stakes in the ground
Pull the wires tight turn on the spotlight
Watch the drama in the round
Tonight it comes alove

See the Big Top wise in an empty field
It's an old church, a schoolyard, a lover's bedroom
If the Universe was canvas, ropes, and poles
Then the painted sky would fall down upon my soul

Time for the comedy
When everyone makes a face at me
Sometimes you can even see the pain
with a touch of the tragedy
How a smile can twist around
You can't trust that laugh again

It's up to me
To keep the show on the road
Through the night to the next town
There are tickets to be sold
Tonight it comes alive

See the Big Top rise in an empty field
It's an old church, a schoolyard, a lover's bedroom
If the Universe was canvas, ropes, and ples
Then the painted sky would fall down upon my soul

Inherit the Earth
(P. Bamburak)
You know that I'm trying very hard
But the little peaks and valleys get so old
It just isn't fair
I'm tired of waiting for tomorrow when it never comes
Cause if patience is a virtue
Then I've got virtue to spare

If I didn't have you to hold me
I don't think I could hold on anymore
You set fire to my imagination
And I see possibilities
If I didn't have you to need me
I'd never fill my own need
To let love and compassion
Guide the life that I lead

When the meek inherit the earth
Inherit the wind
I'd give everything to you
So I'd have nothing again

I'd tear down the walls
Throw open the gates
Cast the crown to the sea
If I inherit the earth
Will you still love me?

Sometimes I wish I could go back and do it all again
And wind up in a different place
Somewhere I'd rather be
But would I ever find you on that foreign shore?
Cause my world would be empty
If you weren't here with me

If I didn't have you to hold me
I don't think I could hold on anymore
You set fire to my imagination
And I see possibilities

If I didn't have you to need me
I'd never fill my own need
To let love and compassion
Guide the life that I lead

When the meek inherit the earth
Inherit the wind
I'd give eveything to you
So I'd have nothing again

I'd tear down the walls
Throw open the gates
Cast the crown to the sea
If I inherit the earth
Would you still love me?

I Cherish You
(P. Bamburak)
Your heart is open to me
I can't afford to mistake
Honest intentions and desires
Deliberate and fake
I take the rope pull you to me
I could easily hang on Sunday
Day of rest day of desire
Hours pass burn like fire
Even now
I cherish you

Sweet gift of pain
I crown you the drama queen
Seems I can only feel
The ends of the extreme
I take the bait willingly
It's not wasy to turn away
Win the prize by defeat
The rules of the game we play
Even now
I cherish you

Responsible to which degree
It's not easy to understand
I can't walk a mile in your shoes
I can only take your hand
Surrender is the only way
I can't easily resist
Fields of fire fields of bone
Winter comes my heart's a stone
Even now
I cherish you
Even now
I cherish you
